Bertrand is a partner in our corporate and M&A practice focusing on advising French entrepreneurs and multinational companies in MENA and Africa.
Bertrand has been involved in numerous cross-border transactions such as acquisitions, joint-ventures, setting up of subsidiaries, financing and restructuring, where he advised international companies, entrepreneurs and investors.
Bertrand has also developed recognised and prominent expertise in private equity transactions (LBOs, MBO, venture capital) and, more generally, corporate finance and financial engineering. His experience also includes securities and stock market regulations (assisting companies on various securities issues, public offering and IPOs), and litigation in France. Bertrand advises companies and investment funds in particular in the renewable sector, energy, commodities trading, food & beverage as well as in the new media, information technology sectors.
Bertrand actively practices in the Middle East, Africa, China, USA, Europe and Canada.
Prior to joining BSA, Bertrand founded and managed Dumon & Partners in November 2012. He was also an international partner and head of the corporate group of Watson, Farley & Williams LLP’s Paris office in January 2006 and previously co-head of the private equity team at Le Boeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP in Paris.
Bertrand has a PhD in Contract Law from the University of Paris – Nanterre. He has been a member of the Paris Bar Association since 1998.
