Our Litigation practice has a high success rate and focus on civil and commercial disputes. Our team is driven by experienced lawyers stemming from various jurisdictions across the Middle East. With decades of collective experience in the jurisdictions in which we practice, all our offices offer localised and adaptive litigation services, combined with a commercial understanding of the needs and priorities of our clients.
Our team caters to the varying cultural requirements of our wide range of clients from across the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Asia. We are also regularly instructed to support international law firms in representing their clients, in instances where our rights of audience and regional technical skill and knowledge are required.
Whilst most of our litigation clients stem from the construction industry (including oil and energy), we also represent clients from the Insurance & Reinsurance and Banking & Finance industry and private clients in relation to franchising, employment, hospitality, media, medical malpractice, criminal and general debt recovery litigation proceedings.
The economic free zone of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), with its own set of laws, rules and regulations, has brought significant changes to the way business is conducted in Dubai. Coupled with this is the introduction of the DIFC Courts, comprising two tiers, a Court of First Instance and a Court of Appeal.
Our lawyers, qualified in numerous jurisdictions including England & Wales, have rights of audience before the DIFC Courts and provide legal support and representation to our clients in relation to disputes heard before these courts, offering premium advocacy services in the DIFC’s dynamic judicial forum.
